This week in science #15

 What I did this week in science was do the marshmallow challenge. I got to sit with the group I've only grouped up with three times. We received noodles, tape, and a marshmallow. We had to sketch out a idea for our structure. We were put on a timer and the rule was if the structure that your group made fell your group lost. We soon realized the fact that all three times that we've met the marshmallow challenge was very interesting due to the fact that we never switched different groups to work in during this event. We also realized that as the whole class has been working with different people throughout the entire school year and we felt like we could all work with each other.

What I learned This week is that working with different people works for everyone. That re experimenting  is very important to learn the mistakes of the first time. That if you give the teacher a chance to change the experiments a little bit, it can be fun for us students. You can also learn alot from different times of the same experiment.

this month in science #10

This month in science we made all started to speak to designers from Human impact institute that agreed to help us design our T shirts. First we made choice to pick of water, transportation, waste , and energy. I chose water, I thought it would be fun. We all put a down a list of think about what the topic  and put ways its impacting our life's. Then we went outside the school and asked people in the area of our school if they would like to take a survey. Then we got the results  and started brainstorming our ideas of the ways to show the impacts on our life's. The designers from the Human Impact institute came to

this week in science #11

I did a activity  with post-its  and walked around the room to put my post it on the theme. Then we talked about the type of animal we are going to be taking care of which is a spider.We made a a habitat for our spiders. We got our groups, got a container and filled it with pebbles under the layer of soil. Then we went to the park and gathered things we wanted in the pet spiders box. We named our spider Spider Man.

     What I learned was that some spiders do dances before the fight. They wrap their enemies up in their . Cellar spiders are also named "Daddy Long Leg" Cellar spiders come in two color and in various sizes. They put their venom inside their prey as they are wrapped up  in their web.

The article was about the fact of people in New York are using unsafe tap water. Rivers are being used to give water in New York. They are trying get other ways to get water in NYC. They are trying to make projects. People in the project  want to make sure that rivers are not impacted but the highly volume of water usage in New York.

 Kingdom:The Painted Lady Butterfly is a large butterfly that has four spots on each wing and has a orange look to it. This Painted Lady Butter Lives anywhere from trees, gardens,and areas around water.The food need to survive is nectar. Since the Butterfly cant just eat food they drink the nectar from their proboscis. A proboscis is a straw that they drink their liquids from.
